After being awarded the Sitara-i-Imtiaz, one of Pakistan’s highest civilian honours, Frank Khalid has expressed that he does not view the recognition solely as a personal achievement, but as a responsibility to contribute towards the betterment of the people of Pakistan. In particular, his focus has been on his ancestral city of Hasilpur and its residents, with a strong emphasis on promoting stability, development, opportunity, and investment in the area.
Frank Khalid has recently been actively engaging in efforts to support the development of Hasilpur, with a particular focus on its long-standing aspiration to be granted the status of a District in Pakistan’s administrative structure. His initiative reflects an ongoing commitment to advocating for formal District recognition, which could potentially bring improved governance, infrastructure, and access to public resources for the area.
As part of these efforts, he visited the Pakistan High Commission in London, where he met with the Acting High Commissioner, Mr. Haseeb Bin Aziz. During the meeting, he presented a formal letter of recommendation highlighting the case for elevating Hasilpur to District status. The discussion underscored the importance of continued dialogue between community representatives and diplomatic channels in addressing regional development concerns.
The engagement marks another step in a broader campaign aimed at drawing attention to local governance issues in Hasilpur, with supporters hopeful that such advocacy will contribute positively to future decision-making processes.
